Pirate Ships & Wine

These are the highlights of my weekend. Once again, we took the boys to Lowes for their free Build and Grow work shop; but this time I took backup: Daddy. The last time we did this it was hard for me to divide my time between the two boys. They were both anxious to finish their projects; but I only have two hands.

Daddy helped Picasso while I helped Einstein. We built a couple of pretty cool pirate ships . . . arrrrgh. This project was a lot less complex than the GMC truck we built. There were less pieces to nail together the wrong way. Within ten minutes (I'd say a lot less) the boys were leaving with a free wooden toy.

That same afternoon I hosted a Sensaria Spa party, with a twist. No, we didn't have lemons; however, we did have cheese and strawberries to accompany our wine. This was my first, ever, blind wine tasting soiree so I didn't know what to expect; but when there's wine in the mix you can't go wrong.

We tasted three different wines that fell into three different categories: a German riesling (that was my favorite), a Spanish Rose wine, and a South African Merlot; which was organic and sulfite free. I bought the latter and didn't care for it. Next time I'm going to assign a theme to the wines (ie., Washington Wineries, Merlot, Chardonnay - you get the idea). We had a lot of fun, though. At least we had a couple of hours to wind down after a busy week.

Mom gets the manicure hand treatment . . . so soft.

Sharyn and I get the feet treatment . . . aah, so relaxing.
