{Company Girl Coffee} Lost Tooth

Happy Aloha Friday! Welcome to another week of coffee and conversation.

It’s been a week filled with meetings and projects; Of the Cub Scouts and PTA variety.

It’s been a week of disappointments. My DVR didn’t record the two hour season premier of LOST, so I had to, as Todd put it, “Slum a little and watch it online.”

I thought I’d kill two birds with one stone by camping out in the office for a couple of hours. Watch LOST on the boys’ computer while catching up on my email during commercials.

The first hour went smoothly, but the second hour was bumpy due to technical difficulties. It kept freezing up on me so I gave up. I think they’ll show an encore right before the next new episode next week.

I was also disappointed yesterday when Picasso lied to me about his reading (or lack there of, as it turned out), which is his daily homework assignment. It’s nothing new, unexpected, or out of the ordinary. So why did he lie about it? Because he wanted to watch TV. What was his consequence for his action? No more TV for the rest of the night. He needed that time to catch up on the reading he didn’t do.

On the brighter side of things, I got a check in the mail. My winnings from the Arizona Lottery. A whole six dollars. Hey, it’s $6 more than I had before playing the scratch tickets. Besides, the tickets were a gift.

And today’s exciting news: Einstein lost another tooth!

He was wiggling it this morning when it fell out. I hope the Tooth Fairy is prepared. He’s expecting $5!

{Take Me Back Tuesday} At The Fair

Here’s another gem I found while mass scanning. This one was taken at the 50th State Fair while riding the BIG Ferris Wheel. Taking this picture and focusing on something other than how high we were probably helped me to feel not so sick; I’m deathly afraid of heights.

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again; where does the time go? It feels like I took this picture just yesterday. And yet, Tiani will be graduating from high school in just four short months. Yikes! That means I’m getting…getting…dare I say it?…OLD. Well, it’s better than the alternative, I suppose.

{Week-At-A-Glance} 2010-01-31

There went yet another week. I’ve been meaning to post about certain events, but then the day gets away from me. So I’m just posting about the highlights of the week in one post.

I finally got a hair cut on Monday. What a relief that was. My hair was just getting out of control.

And Thursday was the PTA Event of the year: Disco Fever Night. Many people arrived in costume. It was so much fun to see. While I was fulfilling my duties, collecting admission, I was having flashbacks of my banking days.

Halfway through the event, I was able to join in on the fun. I pulled the boys onto the dance floor to “boogie on down.” LOL! They resisted the entire time, but they admitted to having fun later.

I learned a new line dance, then joined in on the Electric Slide. Einstein did the dances too, with a little bit of help from his Mommy.

I even snuck in a picture of Todd and myself. Yes, he was actually there. But he didn’t do much dancing.

It’s been a lazy weekend. My mom was supposed to stop by today with my nephew. But I advised her against it because there’s a chance that the boys have a stomach bug.

Yesterday while I was doing some shopping I got a phone call about Einstein throwing up. It was just the one time, but I was pretty sure his brother would be next.

Sure enough, Picasso was feeling sick this morning then threw up shortly after breakfast. Again, it was just the one time. I don’t know what’s going on, but I just hope that was the beginning and the end of it.

{Saturday Photo Hunt} Spotted

Look at all those spots! Todd took this picture of me while I was coat shopping at Macy’s. There wasn’t a mirror to be found, so he used my phone camera so I could see how I looked in it. It was a big joke, but I thought this coat actually looked pretty cute on me. What do you think? No, I didn’t buy it because it wasn’t $200 worth of cute.
